Looking to donate plasma? Here's everything you need to know to donate at ADMA BioCenters in Conyers, Georgia at 1820 GA-20 Suite 112, Conyers, GA 30013.
All qualified donors must meet these requirements:
- Ages 18-65
- Weighs at least 110 pounds
- Must live within a 50 mile radius of the center
- No Tattoos, piercings or permanent makeup within the last 4 months
- Valid ID
- Permanent address
- Must be in good health
First Time Donor?
If this is your first time donating plasma, you will need to pass a medical history questionnaire and a physical exam.
Please keep in mind that there are several reasons why a prospective donor may get deferred, or be ineligible to donate because they don't meet the donor requirements.
A temporary deferral may be due to a recent tattoo or pregnancy, antibiotics, and more. A permanent deferral may be due to a chronic disease or long-term medical condition.
How To Get Started
No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome.
You may also schedule an appointment by calling the center during regular store hours.
What To Bring
- Valid ID (i.e. Drivers license or military ID)
- Social security card or proof of social security number
- Proof of local residency (mail from the last 30 days, current lease, utility bill, etc)
Preparation Tips
Before donating your plasma, make sure to:
- Drink 4 to 6 eight-ounce glasses of water, fruit juice, or other caffeine-free beverage at least 2 to 3 hours before donating
- Don't drink alcohol 24 hours before you donate
- Avoid smoking for 2 to 3 hours before donating
- Avoid strenuous activity 1 hour before donating
- Eat a meal with high protein and iron within 2 hours of your donation
- Get a restful night of sleep
- If you're feeling sick, skip your donation as you must be in good health
Other Things To Know
- Your first donation may take 120 minutes because you need to pass a physical screening
- The second visit, and repeat visits, will typically take 90 minutes
- You can donate up to 2 times a week
- New donor loyalty program may be available
- Monthly incentives for return donors may be available
